Honestly I almost didn't order it. My cat had snubbed two other fountains and I figured I'd just wasted money again. She sniffed it the first evening and walked off, classic her. By the third day she was drinking from it on her own without me doing anything. I genuinely didn't expect that after the last two.
My old plastic fountain got that horrible slippery coating inside within days, no matter how often I scrubbed it. This one is the first thing that's actually stayed clean between washes. I wipe it down once a week and it still looks new. That alone was worth it for me.
