This policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal data. We are established in the European Union, so our processing is governed by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Hungarian data protection law, regardless of where you are located.
1. Who We Are

3. Why We Process It, and Our Legal Basis
Fulfilling your order — Legal basis: performance of a contract. To take payment, arrange delivery, and send confirmations and tracking.
Customer support — Contract and legitimate interests. To answer questions, resolve complaints, and handle guarantee and warranty claims.
Membership management — Contract. To manage recurring billing, renewals, pauses and cancellations.
Fraud prevention and security — Legitimate interests. To detect fraudulent orders, abuse of our guarantee, and misuse of the site.
Marketing — Consent. Where you have opted in, to send offers and updates. You may withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting us.
Analytics and improvement — Legitimate interests. To understand how the store is used. We do not make decisions about you individually on this basis.
Legal and tax obligations — Legal obligation. To meet Hungarian accounting, tax and record-keeping requirements.
4. Who We Share It With
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data.
We share it only with providers who help us operate, each acting under contract and only for the purpose given:
- Shopify — store hosting and order processing
- Shopify Payments and PayPal — payment processing
- Our subscription provider — Membership billing and renewals
- Shipping carriers — name and address, to deliver your order
- Email provider — where you have opted in to marketing
- Analytics providers — site usage data
We may also disclose data where required by law or legal process, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, including responding to chargebacks and preventing fraud.
5. International Transfers
Some providers are based outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the EEA we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
6. How Long We Keep It
- Order and transaction records — retained as required by Hungarian accounting and tax law, currently a minimum of 8 years
- Support correspondence — up to 3 years after resolution
- Guarantee and warranty claim records — for the duration of the applicable period plus 3 years
- Marketing consent records — until consent is withdrawn, plus a reasonable period as proof of compliance
- Membership records — for the duration of the Membership plus 3 years
When no longer required, data is deleted or anonymised.
7. Your Rights
Subject to the conditions and exemptions in the GDPR, you may request:
- Access to the data we hold about you
- Rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erasure, where we no longer have a lawful basis to retain it
- Restriction of processing in certain circumstances
- Portability of data you provided, in a machine-readable format
- Objection to processing based on legitimate interests, including direct marketing
- Withdrawal of consent, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal
To exercise any right, email support@trypurrwell.com. We respond within one month, extendable where a request is complex. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting.
Some rights are limited where we must retain data to meet a legal obligation or to establish or defend legal claims.
Complaints. You may lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH) at www.naih.hu, or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence where applicable.
8. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies.
- Essential — required for the site to work, including sessions and checkout. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics — help us understand how the store is used, in aggregate.
- Marketing — used to deliver and measure advertising, where you have consented.
You can manage or block cookies in your browser. Disabling essential cookies will affect how the store functions.
9. Automated Decision-Making
We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing.
10. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, and work only with providers who do the same. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Age
This store is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has given us data, contact support@trypurrwell.com and we will delete it.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is always published here with a revised date. Material changes affecting how we use your data will be notified where required.
